The Strada Journal of Radiography (SJR) encourages constructive post-publication discussion to promote scientific dialogue, transparency, and the continuous improvement of published research. The journal recognizes that scholarly communication does not end with publication and that critical discussion can contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the integrity of the scientific record.
Readers, researchers, and other interested parties are welcome to submit comments, questions, or scholarly responses concerning articles published in SJR. Such contributions may address the significance of the findings, research methodology, data interpretation, reporting transparency, limitations, or implications for public health practice and policy.
All submissions must be evidence-based, respectful, relevant to the published work, and consistent with academic and publication ethics.
Post-publication comments or responses should be submitted to the journal through its designated editorial communication channel. Submissions must clearly identify the article being discussed and provide sufficient evidence or references to support the points raised.
The editorial team will assess each submission for relevance, scientific merit, clarity, originality, and compliance with ethical standards. Where appropriate, the journal may invite the original author(s) to respond to the comments.
The journal reserves the right to decline submissions that are irrelevant, unsupported, defamatory, discriminatory, promotional, or otherwise inconsistent with its editorial policies.
When a post-publication comment raises substantive questions about a published article, the original author(s) may be invited to provide a response. Authors are encouraged to address legitimate scientific concerns objectively and transparently.
The editorial team may publish the comment and the author's response together, where appropriate, to facilitate balanced scholarly discussion. Publication of a comment or response does not necessarily imply endorsement by the journal of the views expressed.
Post-publication contributions are subject to editorial assessment and, when necessary, independent peer review. The level of review will depend on the nature, complexity, and scientific significance of the submission.
The journal will communicate its decision to the contributor and may request revisions before publication. All published comments and responses must comply with the journal's editorial standards, publication ethics, and applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.
If a post-publication submission raises credible concerns about possible errors, research misconduct, plagiarism, data integrity, unethical research practices, or other issues affecting the reliability of a published article, the editorial team will assess the concern and take appropriate action.
Where necessary, the journal may contact the authors, request clarification or supporting documentation, consult independent experts, or refer the matter to the relevant institution or research organization. Actions may include publishing a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction, depending on the findings of the assessment.
All such matters will be handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and recognized guidance for scholarly publishing.
All participants in post-publication discussion must act in good faith and maintain professional and respectful communication. Personal attacks, harassment, unsupported allegations, and the disclosure of confidential or personal information are not acceptable.
The journal will protect the confidentiality of individuals involved in the process to the extent possible and permitted by applicable policies and law. Concerns will be assessed fairly, regardless of the identity or institutional affiliation of the person raising them.
The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team are responsible for decisions concerning the assessment and publication of post-publication contributions. These decisions are based on scientific relevance, evidence, fairness, and publication ethics, without inappropriate influence from authors, institutions, sponsors, or other interested parties.
SJR is committed to maintaining an accurate and transparent scholarly record and welcomes responsible scientific dialogue that contributes to the quality and reliability of public health research.
